Accessing Email on mobile devices

There are two ways to access email on mobile devices:

  1. Using a council issued iPhone

If you have a council issued iPhone, you will have been supplied with instructions about setting up your email when you received your phone. If you require further advice, please contact the IT Service Desk (login to iDerby required).

  2. Using a personal mobile device - for example, a smart phone or tablet

If you have personal mobile device, you can access Outlook if you have Citrix access. See the information about Citrix above.

Using VPN to access the network VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to set up a secure connection to the work network from a remote location. If you have a new council laptop it already contains the VPN software to enable you to do this. Please refer to the advice about Networks page on iDerby (login to iDerby required).
