Welcome to the Derby City Council (DCC) Remote Portal. This Portal is for Council employees and Councillors to gain secure access to IT Services.
IMPORTANT. These services are for authorised DCC personnel only. Use of any services provided are in line with our corporate usage policies and Terms and Conditions.
Please note - Outlook Web Access has been removed from this web page. Some employees can still access email, if they have access to the Citrix Access Gateway or through a council issued mobile device. See below for more information.
|Citrix Access Gateway (CAG)||
Please note: not all DCC staff have access to Citrix. Only Social Care staff and staff with the new Council House setup.
CAG give you secure remote access to a DCC computer desktop, providing you with access to your day-to-day applications and data. These applications include Microsoft Outlook which you can access you emails through.
For advice on using CAG, read the CAG help guide on iDerby (login to iDerby required). This advice page contains information on installing the Citrix Receiver software on your personal devices such as home computer, tablet or smart phone.
|Accessing Email on mobile devices||
There are two ways to access email on mobile devices:
|Using VPN to access the network||VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to set up a secure connection to the work network from a remote location. If you have a new council laptop it already contains the VPN software to enable you to do this. Please refer to the advice about Networks page on iDerby (login to iDerby required).|
MiPeople is the online HR service.
Many staff will be able to log onto MiPeople using their normal username and password. Visit the MiPeople login.
If you don't have access to a computer at work, or you would like to access the information from home, you you will have to complete a MiPeople Self Service Access Request which will ask for a number of personal pieces of information just so we can be sure you are who you say you are and can protect your information.
