| Service Description: | About Us
We are a centre for people with learning disabilities. We offer 3 hour sessions twice a day from 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm. We are also a community hub where people can drop in, have a drink, meet friends as well as seek our advice and support. Although we are based at this address we also use the local community and have various trips and social occasions for clients.
Our History In 1994 we began our first project - Hill Lodge. Our care home enables people to live in a secure, relaxed and homely environment with daily support and guidance that enables independence. We have met friends of our residents, most of whom tell us that opportunities for day activities for them are very limited. Many friends began to join us on our daytrips. And so was born the idea that we should create a place for anyone to access, that will not only provide teaching of skills, but will also provide an inclusive and sociable foundation for a more full life; somewhere that everyone can feel a part of, where achievements can be obtained, friendships can be made and fun can be had! |
