| Service Description: | A mainstream Infant and Nursery School with 270 children on roll in school from Reception to Year 2 and a 52 place nursery, providing universal and extended funding provision (15 and 30 hour places).
The main school building is built on one level and is an amazing new building.
Outside we have two main playgrounds, a woodland climber area, dedicated outdoor covered space for our Year 1 children, a covered outdoor area for the FS2/ Reception children and a large covered nursery garden. We also have a grassed area and a dedicated Go Wild/Forest School provision.
We liaise with other schools and childcare providers, including local nurseries, for children who are transferring into school and implement a transition plan for admissions as required. We also work closely with Ravensdale Junior School, to support transition between infant and junior school.
On entry to the school each child’s development is assessed to inform their teacher of their individual skills, abilities and progress. This helps the school to design appropriate differentiated learning programmes.
For pupils identified with special educational needs/disabilities, the SENCO and Class Teacher will identify the requirement for support within the classroom, assess needs, ensure ongoing observation and assessment and provide regular feedback and involve parents in a joint home-school learning approach.
