So… What is Jo Jingles…? Have you ever wondered how a structured music and movement activity like Jo Jingles helps your child’s early development? There is a lot of thoughtful planning behind every song we sing/perform at Jo Jingles classes. Take for example one of our favourites ‘Sleeping Bunnies’. We love it and so do the children but why we do it weekly and have you ever wondered the benefits it provides to your child?
Lets have a look at some of the benefits: - We ask children to find a space and lie down so the children learn and develop spatial awareness.
- We ask them to hop or jump so it helps their muscle development as well as their balance and coordination.
- The beginning of the song is slow and quiet for sleeping, pauses for a moment or more so the children learn to anticipate what’s coming, and then it becomes loud and fast – here they are learning some of the fundamental principles of music.
- Repetition of the song helps the children learn the words and associate them with their meaning.
- Due to the structure we follow the children associate sleeping bunnies with the end of the class.
Come along and join in the music and movement fun with Gaynor and Jo…. You and your little one will have so much fun! |
