Service Description: | Mainstream Community Infant and Nursery School, sharing a site with Ravensdale Junior School. 270 pupils on roll in school and 26 morning and afternoon places available in the nursery. Set in a suburb of Derby. All classrooms are on the ground floor. We have a one flat playground and one on a slope. The grassed area is a steep slope.
We make arrangements to visit local nurseries before transition of pupils to our Foundation Stage 2 classes.
We liaise with the neighbouring Junior School on transition of our pupils.
Evaluating Effectiveness
The SENCo and Schools’ Senior Leadership Team will use the four part cycle which includes Assess, Plan, Do, Review stages, through which earlier decisions and actions are revisited, refined and revised with a growing understanding of the child’s needs and of what supports the child in making good progress and securing good outcomes.
