Service Description: | We want everyone who is involved with our school and its learning community to feel welcome and empowered to take an active role in raising achievements for all. We want it to be a place where contributions are equally valued and respected and where everyone shares a love of learning, full of magical experiences. We, at Brackensdale Primary School, value the abilities and achievements of all pupils. We are committed to providing, for each pupil, the best possible environment for learning. We believe that all children are special. We aim to be at the heart of the local community and are proud of our Enhanced Resource status. Enhanced Resource status means that we have additional resources from the Local Authority so that the environment, curriculum and staffing can be improved in ways which enable children with communication difficulties and autism to be educated with other mainstream children. In 2007 we opened our new annexe called ‘The Phoenix Suite’ we are particularly proud of this building, as it houses our children in KS2 who have more severe communication difficulties and autism. We also have a newly refurbished Ark facility for children in FS2 and KS1 which opened in the summer term 2018. We work in close partnership with parents, children and staff to ensure that the needs of all our children come first. We keep the welfare and learning of our children at the heart of all that we do.
