Service Description

Service Description:
The preschool runs from a community centre in Heatherton. The centre has a very large room, a small meeting room, large kitchen, toilets including a disability toilet.

The centre is all on one level which makes it easier for wheelchair users. We open Monday to Friday, our opening times are 8am till 3pm daily.

The manager has 25 years of experience working in the sector and there are four other team members. All our staff are qualified and hold a first aid certificate. We praise ourselves on offering a family feel setting, by getting to know our parents really well and being there for them when they need our support.

We offer lots of activities for the children including morning exercise, free play, outdoor play, circle time, physical play, singing and story times.

We also have a lady who visits on a Monday and teaches the children French and another lady who visits on a Wednesday from the Beat Feet dance academy, who teaches the children dance.

The manager has many years experience of working with SEND children, she has a passion for working with the children and supports them and their families in providing the best opportunities for the children. The preschool works closely with the health visitors, speech and language therapists, the early intervention team and the paediatricians.

Morning sessions are from 9am to 12noon and afternoon sessions are from 12noon to 3pm. Children can stay for lunch but parents need to provide them with a packed lunch.
