Service Description

Service Description:
Zaytouna Primary School is a free school for children aged four to eleven with an Islamic ethos. The school is open to children of all faiths and none. There are currently 280 children on roll from reception to year 6. The school building is situated on London Road on the outskirts of Derby City centre and is comprised of two levels. Our school has spacious and bright classrooms with access to a dedicated dining room with onsite catering facilities, a safe and enclosed playground and a large indoor play area. We also have a prayer room and library. All our classrooms are well-equipped.

We make arrangements to visit local nurseries when pupils transfer to our Early Years Foundation Stage and arrange transition days for the children that will be joining us. We also liaise with any schools that our children may move from or to throughout the school year.

At Zaytouna Primary School, we have created a curriculum which fully covers the requirements of the new national curriculum. We believe we inspire our children to learn more about the world around them and prepare them for the next steps in their learning, and give them opportunities to develop the essential skills for life in modern Britain.
