SWelcome to St Chad’s Church of England Nursery and Infant School

We are delighted to welcome you on behalf of our wonderful children, parents, carers staff and governors to our school's website.

St Chad’s is a small school with a big heart. As a Church of England school, our school vision (LOVE God LOVE Neighbour LOVE Self) and our school's core values of love, friendship, compassion and respect, underpin every aspect of school life. We are an inclusive school and our vision, though distinctively Christian, welcomes and values all faiths and cultures within our diverse inner-city school community.

We believe wholeheartedly that parents and carers are children's first educators and we recognise that the key to promoting successful learning for every child lies in the strong partnerships that we form with our families from their very first day in school. We are blessed with kind, talented and hardworking staff, dedicated to helping to keep your child safe and happy so that they can secure their very best outcomes under our care. We are relentless in ensuring that our school offer is the very best it can be and we promise to work alongside you as equal partners during every step of your child's incredible educational journey.

We are proud of our school's history as a Church of England school and the strong links that we have with our local community, St Augustine's Church and the Diocese of Derby. In 2019, we were delighted to become a member of the Derby Diocese Academy Trust family (DDAT).

We hope that the photographs and information on this website give a good insight into life at St Chad’s but there is nothing like coming along to experience the real thing for yourself! If you would like to visit us then please do get in touch through the school office.

If your aren’t already in our St Chad's school family, we hope that one day we can welcome you with open arms.
