Service Description
Service Description:I have been a registered childminder for 26 years. I have trained to NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development, have First Aid Certificate, Level 2 award in Health and Hygiene and Food Safety, safeguarding, CRB checked.
Ofsted inspected May 2018 Good rating. Since February 2022 I have had an assistant works with me 2 days a week. My assistant, a former childminder, has been approved, by Ofsted, to work with me and holds First Aid and all relevant training.
All of the downstairs rooms in the house are used for childminding; the children have a wide selection of toys, books and equipment that they can access as they require. They are encouraged to tidy things away after use.
Craft activities are offered everyday. I have a large secure garden, on three levels, exit by patio doors onto a large paved area where the children can ride bikes, scooters, play football and many other activities, from this are steps, which has a gate to prevent children from using steps to the upper garden without supervision.
The steps lead onto a decked area with seating area. This leads onto a large grass area, with climbing frames, swings slide. There is a small veggie patch and flower bed were the children are able to plant seed/bulbs.
We go on many outings to local amenities such as parks, shops, local library, toddler groups, We also visit attractions further a field, soft play a area, zoo, farms and much more. All trips are Risk Assessed.
All meals and snacks are available to the children; they are given homemade healthy food that will meet their daily requirements. Drinks are available all day. Any special dietary and cultural needs will be met and discussed with parents/carers.
The individual needs of all the children are aimed to be met, in a warm, homely, friendly and safe environment where the children learn through play and make new friends.
