Service Description

Service Description:
St Joseph''s Pre-school has been established for over 25 years. We are an independent registered charity run by a management committee, which includes parent members.

At St Joseph''s Preschool our vision is to offer a safe, happy place where everyone is known and valued, and where differing needs are acknowledged, accepted and met. We will provide stimulating, motivating and challenging activities that will engage children and help them to become independent, develop curiosity and develop respect for themselves and others. We follow child led activities and scaffold their learning through play.

St Joseph''s Preschool have a large playroom where children are free to explore and learn through play. We have a gated outside area, with access to lots of activities at all times. Children can use their imagination skills with the loose parts play, explore the mud kitchen and explore different gross motor resources. We follow the Early years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We recognise that all children have different needs and abilities and support children to develop in their individual ways. Staff have training to support children with SEND needs and we are a recognised Communication Friendly Setting. We work with multi agencies and support children and families with other professionals.

We welcome applications from children of all faiths however, our Admissions Policy gives priority to children who are baptised Catholics. We are open during school term times only and close for all school holidays, Inset days and bank holidays. We provide snacks. We have a lunchtime routine and your child will be required to bring in a healthy packed lunch from home.

We have a close working relationship with St Joseph''s Catholic Primary School however, we are not part of the school and attendance at pre-school does not guarantee a place, a separate application would need to be made at the appropriate time.
