I am a fully registered, Ofsted-recognised childcare provider based in Derby, offering high-quality care for children aged 3 months to 12 years. My setting is warm, family-focused, and designed to support children’s development through play, exploration, and new experiences. I follow the updated EYFS Curriculum.
I understand that every family’s routine is unique, so my service is flexible, reliable, and tailored to your needs. Whether you work shifts, need wraparound school care, or require weekend and holiday support, I provide peace of mind while children thrive in a happy, secure environment.
About Me
As a proud mum of five and grandmother to little ones, I have a wealth of hands-on experience with babies, toddlers, and young children. From sleepless newborn nights to curious toddler years, I understand exactly what children need at every stage of development.
Alongside raising my own family, I have spent years working with children in the community. One of my proudest achievements was creating and running “Bully Free Zone – Kids United”, a highly successful event that encouraged children to take a stand against bullying through role plays, singing, and speeches. It was incredible to see children of all backgrounds come together, perform on stage, and grow in confidence.
I have also organised events celebrating Diversity, Unity, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, giving children opportunities to perform, share their talents, and build self-esteem. In classroom-style activities, I ran arts and crafts, quizzes, and team projects for children aged 4–12, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
These experiences, combined with my personal journey raising five children and caring for grandchildren and family friends’ little ones, have given me vast knowledge of how to nurture children of all ages — from the tiniest newborn to growing school-aged learners. My passion is helping every child feel valued, confident, and ready to shine.
Wraparound care: before/after school ( It will be parents responsibility to drop and pick their children from school). Breakfast Club 7am-8.30am, After School Club 3pm-7pm. It will be a Screen-Free Environment, Active Creative Fun, Homework Help and Learning Support, Sports, Games and Fun Activities. Tailored Activities for Younger and Older Children aged 4-12 Years.
Meals and Snacks
Children enjoy healthy, home-prepared meals and snacks for £5 per day, or equally parents are welcome to provide a packed lunch. I encourage positive attitudes to food, involving children in baking and cooking activities that teach life skills and make mealtimes fun.
Learning and Play
Play is at the heart of everything we do at Lucky Charms. I provide a wide range of exciting, age-appropriate activities to support children’s curiosity, confidence, and creativity:
Arts and Crafts
Painting, junk modelling, sensory play, and themed projects
Baking & cooking: from simple biscuits to fun savoury dishes, helping children learn about food, maths, and teamwork.
Reading and language activities
Story time, rhyme sessions, and access to a cosy reading corner, Construction and problem-solving: puzzles, building blocks, and educational games.
Homework support
A calm space to complete school projects with guidance.
Cultural celebrations
Introducing children to festivals, traditions, and diversity
These activities are designed to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring children learn and grow through fun, play-based experiences.

Rates
Hourly care (ad hoc/flexible sessions): £7 (minimum 2 hours)
Half day (up to 6 hours): £45
Full day (7:00am–7:00pm): £70
£5 per day meals and snacks
