About the service
Service Description:Emmanuel School was established in 1988 as EMCF recognised that the secular education system was failing to supply our children with the foundations they needed to mature in their Christian faith. As a result we have established a school where Christian beliefs and atmosphere are central.
The curriculum we have developed is designed to train our children in godliness and integrity as well as equip them with the skills and knowledge they will need for living. We aim to provide all this in a loving and disciplined environment where each child is valued and encouraged in the fulfilment of their God-given potential.
Emmanuel School is open for all those whose parents or guardians share our mission and values and will support the school in its practices.
Emmanuel School is a central part of East Midlands Christian Fellowships (EMCF) however we gladly accept children from families within other churches and faith backgrounds (including no faith at all) and from all spheres of society.
We accept children from across the city of Derby and beyond where it is feasible for the child to travel school and for the family to play its full part in school life.
Emmanuel School receives no Government funding for children beyond reception and although it is necessary therefore to charge a fee for each child’s education we make every effort to ensure that children are not excluded on grounds of finance alone.
