About the service
Service Description:As a larger than average, Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary and Nursery School, we are a community based on Christian values. We value each other, families, and friends; we have high standards in all we do. We aim to make successful partnerships with our parents and carers, our local churches and community, as together Everyone Achieves More.
Attainment on entry to nursery is broadly average and exit from the school is good for the majority of our pupils, with all FSP, KS1 and Y6 attainment being above national averages. As a faith school we draw pupils from a wider area than just our “catchment” area.
Pre-Reception pupils are visited within other settings and offered a session to spend in school; prior to the September they begin school.
Transition Evenings are held in the summer term, for all parents and carers, to meet their child’s next teacher and see the classroom that they will be taught in for the following year.
Pupils with additional needs transferring to other schools are offered extra supported visits to the new setting.
Team Around the Family meetings support the whole family with access to services and support.
