Service Description:Respite Care
Purpose built accommodation can cater for young people whether or not they attend RNIB College during the day. We offer a 24-hour service with waking night staff on hand to provide care if required through the night.

Staff are allocated to young people to keep in touch with parents/carers, organise their stay and plan their care.
Respite care for young people with flexible lengths of stay is available across 38 weeks of the year including:
Monday to Friday, day, evening and overnight
Weekends, day, evening and overnight
Young people are encouraged to be as independent as possible in their care; however we recognise that some people will always need support. Staff can support young people with their personal care, taking medication, taking part in fund activities and accessing the community during their stay.
Activities offered include social, sporting, leisure, community, seasonal, creative and fun opportunities. Young people can join in with these activities to develop confidence, social and independence skills.
