About the service
Service Description:This course will enable students to gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to work in the construction industry.
Success on this course would prepare and enable students to undertake a CSCS test for labourers at an approved centre. These tests have been developed by the CSCS and the Construction Industry Training Board as a standard industry requirement.
Qualification: City & Guilds Entry 3 Extended Certificate in Employability Skills
Entry requirements: Aged 16-18, or up to 24 with an EHC plan
Course delivery: Full-time

The principles of risk assessment
Working safely at height
Safe manual handling
Risks to health within a construction environment
Brickwork
Use of hand tools
Finishing surfaces
