About the service

Service Description:
b_line is a travel, discount and library card scheme for all young people aged 11 up to their 19th birthday living in Derbyshire and Derby city.
There are two types of card:
?- b_line1 – an orange card which proves you qualify for the bus or rail company’s under 16 discount.
?- b_line2 – a purple card which proves you qualify for 25% off full adult fares.
Both cards give you discounts at around 600 local shops and businesses and library membership.

You don’t get a travel discount with a b_line1 card but if you get asked, because you may look older, you can use it to prove that you qualify for the bus or rail company’s under 16 fare.
?You can use your b_line1 card 24/7 – it’s not just for school journeys.
?Once you turn 16 you will automatically be given a b_line2 card which will get you 25% off adult fares on local buses and trains.
