About the service
Service Description:Hello I''m Jane, I''m 55 years young and married. I have children and grandchildren of my own. I have worked with children for the past 30+ years, this being in school environment then in a nursery setting where I started as a Nursery Nurse, working my way up to Senior and then to Deputy Manager, for 18 years before being made redundant. I have now set up my own childminding business (Janey''s Day Care). I have an assistant working for me, who also has 10+ years of working in a school environment with Early Years Children, she is married and is also a Mum to 3 children of her own.
I am OFSTED registered, providing a safe and secure home from home setting for children to have fun and reach their full potential through play, activities and outings.
As a childminder I aim to meet the individual needs of the children in my care. I use all downstairs areas of my home which has a toilet with wash basin, large living room, large kitchen leading out into the rear garden consisting of a sheltered decking area so children have free flow even when the weather is not to good, artificial grass area and patio area for children to develop their gross motor skills.
All of these areas in the home will be used to plan various activities around the children''s interests covering all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Children have a wide selection of toys, books and equipment that they can access as they require as well as exploring malleable play, craft activities, sand and water play both indoor and outdoors. 2 minute walk away is a large park where children can run freely and play on climbing equipment.
All meals, snacks and drinks are provided and included in the price, any special requirements and cultural needs will be met and discussed with parents/carers. I encourage parents/carers and children to visit and for parents/carers to discuss their child''s needs with me.
All people living in the home have had an Enhanced DBS check, my assistant and I have various qualifications and training including: BTEC National Certificate (level 3) Childhood Studies, Introductory Training Course, Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Children, Autism Awareness, Food Hygiene, Nutrition 1 and 2 Training Course, Understanding and working with the EYFS, Data Protection for Childminders and many more.
